Compact Kit

The FreedomWand Compact Kit helps people with limited range of motion with their toileting, bathing, shaving, and applying lotions or ointments to hard to reach places. You can use your FreedomWand to grasp different items- helping you with more than just wiping.

What is Included?

Comes with Head, Handle, Cloth Carry Bag (great for discretion when you take it away with you), instructions, and sample pom pom. Total length is 14.5″. If you need it to be longer we have 3 options, purchase an extension, a Masterkit which can get up to 20″ in length or the Ultimate kit that is up to 25.5″ long.

A Variety of Uses

Toilet Aid

Fold tissue into a rectangle using around 5-7 squares. The thinner your TP the more you will need. Pinch the center of the rectangle to make a point (about the diameter and length of your pinky), then insert the pinched area (point) of the tissue deep into the opened grippers. Now slide the bar back bringing the grippers all the way into the FreedomWand. It is important to have enough tissue for a firm hold and that you have the point deep into the grippers that are pulled all the way back into the wand. If you cannot pull the grippers all the way in you’re trying to put in too much or you don’t have a tight enough point. If the tissue falls out you either have not enough tissue or you don’t have the point deep enough into the grippers.

Bathing Needs

You will need to tie a knot into the string of your loofah very very close to the nylon netting. This knot will need to be about the diameter of your pinky finger so depending on the thickness of your string you may need 2 knots on top of each other making one larger knot. Insert the knot deep into the grippers and pull the grippers all the way back into the FreedomWand. You can also pinch the grippers together and push them into the wand. Great to use in the shower or bath when you need to wash those hard to reach spots.

Shaving

Use a disposable type shaver with a small square handle and insert it deep into the open grippers and pull all the way back into the FreedomWand, aligning it with the curve of the wand.

Applying Lotions

Simply add a sponge cut into a triangle shape or makeup applicator to apply lotion or medical creams/ointments for all your hard to reach places such as toes, back, hemorrhoids, etc.
