Our story

How we got our start?

Nalakai was born in our adopted home of Costa Rica. I have always been inspired by the beautiful landscape at the beach and I wanted to make affordable and luxurious baby carriers that are not only beautiful, but also sustainable. We use sustainably sourced bamboo in all of our ring slings.

What makes our product unique?

Nalakai ring slings are made from a custom woven blend of sustainably sourced bamboo and linen. Unlike scratchy pure linen, the bamboo blend is super soft to care for your baby’s sensitive skin. We also have a new line of organic and skincare for families and postpartum healing, Nalakai Naturals!
