This exclusive EXOTIC formula is engineered to penetrate dense Brazilian hardwoods like Ipe, Cumaru, Garapa & Teak, which are much denser than North American hardwoods. EXOTIC is a penetrating wood sealer, deck stain & wood finish, specifically formulated for tropical wood species. It is water-based, ultra-low VOC and a great investment to enhance & extend the useful life of your Ipe deck, siding or furniture.

Unlike most top-coat wood sealers on the market today, EXOTIC penetrates deep below the surface, to form a long-lasting water-resistant shield around the wood fibers at the cellular level. The added POLY in the formula creates a surface coating for superior abrasion resistance in high-traffic areas that make it a great choice for tropical Ipe wood finishes, decking & walkways. It is non-yellowing, does not peel and will not alter the natural beauty of exotic hardwood decks, siding or furniture. Exotic has UV blockers to help prevent the natural color of the wood from fading. EXOTIC can also be used as a wood stain and is available in 11 color tints that can be added to the clear formula to enhance the natural grain of wood. The tinted wood stains provide additional UV protection from harmful UV sunlight.

Unlike many top-coat sealers sold today that trap moisture below the surface, EXOTIC creates a flexible, breathable barrier which allows water vapor to escape. This key feature helps prevent damage to wood caused by water intrusion, such as: wood rot, decay, mold & mildew growth, cracking & splitting. Typical wood sealers form a barrier on the surface of the wood, trapping moisture below the surface. As the water evaporates, it causes the surface coating and the substrate to crack & peel, leaving a broken surface that requires continued maintenance and is susceptible to additional damage. Quick & Easy Application

Apply first coat with a synthetic brush; pump-up garden sprayer; air-assisted; and/or airless sprayer. Use 15-17 tip and medium to coarse spray pattern. When spraying, always back brush for best results. Second coat can be applied once first coat has penetrated, but is still damp. Second coat must be applied within one hour of applying first coat. For best results, apply in the shade and out of direct sunlight. Clean-up brushes or sprayer with warm soapy water.

Choose from 11 Wood Stain Tints

EXOTIC can be tinted for use as wood stain in any of the 11 color tints available: Clear, Light Brown, Natural, Brown, Mahogany, Redwood, Bronze Cedar, Cedar, Black, Battleship Gray, Shale Gray & Cape Cod Gray. The tints are sold separately and when mixed with Clear, the tinted formula provides additional UV protection from harmful sun rays.

Surface Preparation & Coverage

Approximate coverage: 250-350 sq. ft./gallon per coat. Actual coverage will vary due to the porosity of the surface. All surfaces should be cleaned with SEAL-ONCE All Wood Cleaner before sealing for best penetration and performance. Remove all old coatings, dust, debris and loose material. Remove oil, grease, algae, grime, mill glaze and mold and mildew stains with appropriate cleaners.
